Daniele Lorenzi

I am a software engineer at Bitmovin in the Web Player team. Former postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Information Technology, Alpen-Adria-Universität, Klagenfurt, Austria, where I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science working in the Christian-Doppler Laboratory ATHENA, led by Prof. Christian Timmerer. I currently focus on the maintenance and optimization of Bitmovin's video player. I received my master degree in ICT Engineering and my bachelor degree in Information Engineering from the Department of Information Engineering, University of Padua, Italy. My research interests encompass Video Streaming, Multimedia Networking, Machine and Deep Learning, QoS and QoE Improvement.
